Welcome to the Mindful AI Lab

The Machine Intelligence for Developing Powerful Mental Health Solutions (Mindful) AI Lab, led by Dr. Rahman, primarily focuses on natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, deep learning, data analytics and child and adolescent mental health. The lab is deeply passionate about investigating and innovating new machine learning and NLP techniques for uncovering insights from large datasets, including those from social media and child health data.

The long-term goal of the lab is to utilize advanced NLP and machine learning to create new tools for pediatric mental health and clinical psychology research. These tools will assist translational research scientists including clinical psychologists, social scientists, and behavioral therapists in extracting patient information from medical records, predicting mental health outcomes from social interactions and identifying mental health disorders.
